"Our 4 year old is a wonderful, smart, loving child but he doesn't always have an easy time controlling his impulses or interacting appropriately in social situations. We were worried that his behaviors would land him in trouble in school and with peers as he gets older. The months he's spent in Jan's social skills group for 4 and 5 year old boys have been incredibly productive! We've seen a big change in his ability to control his impulses, navigate feelings, and respond appropriately in a variety of social settings with other children. Not only does he benefit but he thoroughly enjoys the group. I think it's actually a relief for him to talk about his feelings in a setting where Jan makes it feel so safe and natural to do so. He's just started his second semester. I'm confident he'll continue to build on the basic emotional and behavioral skills he's acquired already and that he'll ultimately be more confident and at ease with himself because of Jan's group."

"Leo did a group this summer and will do another one this fall, and we were crazy about her. Jan is smart, funny, warm, perceptive, resourceful, playful, focused and really on the ball. I was most impressed by her ability to hone in on just what each child needed and her ability to help the kids achieve their individual goals within a small group setting, as opposed to doling out a by-the-numbers social skills curriculum."

"Since joining Jan's group, Ann's social confidence has soared. She
is much more comfortable at school and takes great pride in her new
found ability to assert herself and negotiate her relationships with
her peers. She is simply a much happier child!"

"After just 2 sessions with Jan, Paloma felt such a strong affinity with her that for her Thanksgiving art project at school, she added to her thankful turkey feathers one that said:
'I am thankful for my friend Jan.'"
"I want to be in the group until Jan says I am too old. You know I love the group."
